I'd work them on #0 or #1's to get a nice tight guage, and definitely stripe them! Since the Malabrigo has twice the yardage, you would only need 11 hanks for the blanket, while the Kureyon calls for 21. According to my math (which you should never trust) that would come to about $121 for the Malabrigo versus about $178 for the Kureyon.
