Soapy the Soap Turtle came from
Amie at the Rosebyany blog. I was over
there reporting the finished Jaywalkers, when lo and behold, I saw Soapy. So I had to immediately make
him of course. Took about 3 hours. Remember how I said Sunday was a day for finishing? Well, apparently it's a day for starting too. So long as you finish. Heh.
Step One: Insert Soap

Step Two: Push Soap In

Isn't he cute? (Pardon the gratuitous linkage, can you tell I love this pattern? I want everyone to find it!
HERE!
Yay! Glad you like him! He does look cute - I like your color choices! (I think I have that variegated you chose... hmmm there may be a few more Soapies in my future, too...)
ReplyDeleteWhat a cutie!
ReplyDeleteHow cute! I saw that on Amie's blog as well & thought I would ahve to make it as well - turtles are a bit of a collectible around here. :)
ReplyDeleteAwwwwww!
ReplyDeleteSo cute! So perfect for you ;)
ReplyDeleteHow cute is he and perfect for your new bathroom!
ReplyDeleteLove the scrolling buttons on the sidebar too - very cool.
Very pretty!
ReplyDelete(I find that's the only way to use soap bars, but have never seen anything cuter than an ugly red plastic contraption....) Hooray for turtles!!!!
Entirely too cute. I might have to make a few of those for my kids.
ReplyDeleteYour Jaywalkers look great too. I love your front porch. Someday I want to have a place with a front porch and a porch swing where I can sit and knit.
It's like a turtle met a washcloth and decided to have an affair. Out popped the lovechild which is totally the perfect melding of your love for all things turtle and dish/washcloths!!! I love it!
ReplyDeletelol, indeed Bezzie. I saw a turtle, then saw it was a washcloth too - how could I not make it?
ReplyDeleteHow very clever, and cute too!
ReplyDelete:-)
Too adorable!
ReplyDeleteAnd at least your kitty just knocks them over. Mine like to leave me gifts and I'm not talking dead prey either...
Ha, how apt! My secret word is poooym today.
Thanks a ton for sharing the link. I have lots of S'n'C (about 20 balls) that I really should use up. I hope make one tonight as part of a baby bath set for my co-worker's daughter. Wish me luck!
