P is for Progress

"P is for Progress. By turtlegirl76." "Ahem." (Faces the class, shuffles her notecards, and begins her report.) "On Saturday, I worked at the yarn shop all day. It was fun. I found yarn for Trillian for her Simple Knitted Bodice, and proceded to spend the next hour or so sending text messages back and forth with her about how exciting it will be when she gets the Denim Silk to make her SKB. The Denim Silk is a real good yarn and easy to work with. It feels good." (Looks up at the classes, swallows hard, shuffles her feet and flips to the next card.) "Next I got to work on my own Simple Knitted Bodice and started the lace section. On row 4 I realized I messed up. Vanessa tried to help me fix it after I tinked back to where the mistake was - in the first row. She could not fix it. I had to rip it out and start the lace section over. I was sad. But I am finished the lace section now." Sept 6 Update 005 (Looks around at her classmates and tries not to laugh as she sees PennyKarma putting a "Kick Me" sign on Yorkie's back.) "On Sunday, my bestest friend, D, came over to play. We had fun. We had lunch and went shopping. I got a skirt. It's really nice. She bought me a bag at Bath and Body Works that is great for knitting. I like it a lot. After we went shopping, we watched a movie. We watched 'The 40 Year-Old Virgin.' It was funny. She also took lots of pictures." ("Looks over at theTeacher, who looks ready to smack her if she doesn't get on with it already. Sorry, Ms. Prater.") "Sunday, I also worked on my Lacey Shrug. I got pretty far." Sept 6 Update 013 (Cat included for scale.) "Monday, I painted my kitchen and dining room. Stephy came over and helped me. It turned out real good." Sept 6 Update 003 Sept 6 Update 002 Sept 6 Update 004 "After we painted, we worked on socks. I finally turned the heel on my second toe-up Hedera. I forgot to take a picture of it. Stephy worked on a toe-up plain stockinette sock. It is made out of Koigu. Stephy likes Koigu. She got it from her Secret Pal. It's really pretty." (Looks up and sees Bezzie making funny faces at Rain while Domestic Overlord points and laughs.) "In conclusion, I got a lot of stuff done this weekend. And that is why 'P is for Progress.' The end."

Hot damn! That's impressive! Actually that's a great name for the color scheme in your kitchen too. Love the colors. Reminds me of Fall, in a climate that doesn't resemble the bowels of hell.

P.S. Hey Rain, :-P Neener neener!

Your kitchen looks fab. I love the bold colour.

It's a shame about the bodice, but at least you have it sorted now.

Ummm...Miss Turtle...Ummmmm...can I ask a question?!

*in rapid succession*

1. Does the bottom of the B & B bag hae feet? What does the shoulder strap look like? I WANT ONE!

2. What's the name of the paint colors you used? What brand? I like the brown one, so I'm going to steal it and paint my stairway/upstairs hallway that color. :)

3. Which kitty is that with the BIG EYES next to the shrug?

1) Um, I don't remember. I think so. And it's canvas for the strap. Sturdy.

2) The darker orange is "New Penny" and the lighter color, I have no idea.

3) Ripple. =)

I'll take a photo shoot of the bag in action for a weekend blog entry.
