My So-Called Abandoned Project

Blogstalking Sunday! Woo Hoo! Up this week - your oldest UFO. My So-Called Scarf I started My So-Called Scarf way back in January. Remember, I've only really been knitting a year now. So my oldest project isn't that old. But nevertheless, it remains unfinished. It's the needles. They're rosewood. Or something. I got them on e-bay last year. Well, combine that with the Lion Brand Landscapes yarn and well, sticky-city. So until I dig up some sufficiently smooth size 11 needles, this shall remain abandoned. Though it is kinda pretty just hanging from the needle like that. Wall art?

turtlegirl, your blogstalking button doesn't have a click thingy.

2 questions for you. . . how do you blogstalk, and how do you join the pr0n ring?

thx

knitdds - It's based out of the knittyboard. Go to the SP/RAK Chat thread and you'll see it in there. Join the Yarn Pr0n Friday ring by clicking on the ring code to join - left hand sidebar under the pretty green malabrigo.

CPurl - well, technically I learned Christmas of '04 but I made one rectangle and put it down until last October. When I picked it back up, I was hooked.

It's very pretty, but I see what you mean by sticky. Oh, well, you'll get around to it someday!

*giggle, giggle*

Oh! And you took that scarf off your WIP sidebar--I'd always look at it languishing there and wonder what it looked like!

It's very pretty, but I understand why it hasn't progressed.

I just got rid of some of my older UFOs as part of the UFO August KAL - you and I have been knitting around the same amount of time though - early 2005 for me. It's amazing how much both of us have done with it already! (Giving ourselves both a pat on the back...)

it is a pretty scarf... but life's too short to knit anything sucky. I say frog it and forget about it!

Ver' ver' purty colors. But yes, that thing on a wood stick would stick.

I slay me.

I never would have guessed you've only been knitting for a year!

I love the blog-stalking thing every week, can anyone join?

The scarf looks great so far! I hate having unfinished projects (didn't have too many since I've only been knitting less than 2 years) but I killed all of the UFO's. Most of them I stopped working on for a reason...hated the project, yarn, etc.

Try taking a piece of wax paper to the needles... might lube them up enough for you to finish the project!!!
