It's "CAST ON" and "CAST OFF". Not "Casted On" and "Casted Off". That's just bad grammar folks. Learn it, live it, love it.
And that's all I have to say about that.
Random cat pic.
I apologize if those words have ever escaped my hillbilly mouth. Lol Of course I am also the type that uses the phrases "petted the dog" and "watered the dog". :)
AMEN, sista! Although, I have to say that trying to explain some of the idiosyncracies of English grammar to my 2-1/2 year old daughter has made me realize just how little sense the language makes sometimes...
Oh, right there with you, babe. Fingernails on a chalkboard, along with a few misspellings of words that people have obviously only HEARD and never SEEN. Gah!
Grrrl, I think ur rant is da bomb like nucular. I'd like to axe u if u have ever heard me say casted on or casted off so dat I can knit good!
(okay, that 'if I was' thing is my pet peeve.. c'mon Clay Aiken, it's 'if I WERE'. WERE. Ditto that Lips of an Angel song. Even if you're going to sing about being a two-timing bastard, it doesn't mean you can't sing about it grammatically!!!!)
How did you get him to stay put for the picture? Geez! I'm jealous! Kitty does not like to be photographed and if you look at her too long, i.e. 3 secs. She's like "WHAT YOU LOOKING AT! HUH!" *pout* I want pretty kitty pictures like that! *kicks rocks*
...and the photography is so nice. What kind of camera is that and what setting was it on?

Not that i say that, I've just heard it! ;)
Hmmmm....now I'm wondering if I've ever said that. Yeah, probably!
LOL...that seems like a minor grammatical infraction compared to some things I read!

We love the kitty photo!

Oh, I'm with you on that little grammar rant!
Cristi,
I feel your pain ;) My personal gripe is when people say "axe" instead of "ask."

so is something "knit" or "knitted"?
'To knit' is an irregular verb. I believe the tendency in the US is to use 'knit' for the past tense whereas in the UK, it remains 'knitted'.
But that's just IMHO :) Could be wrong. Could always be wrong!
Great Cat picture!

Thing 4 just said "Meow."
I have wondered how fast I'd get tossed off the knittyboard if I posted my version of the selfsame rant, which I was contemplating last night.
You sorta scratched my itch, thanks!
Cast on
Cast off
Breathe in through nose, out the mouth.
Cast on, cast off.
Don't forget to breathe, very important.
You're preaching to the choir, girl
AMEN!
my cats are spaded. ;-)
