Yarn: Plymouth Encore held doubled
Gauge: 3.5 stitches to the inch and pattern directions for smallest size followed - thus fitting a 22 inch head.
Needles: US 10.5
I changed the gauge because the pattern called for Cascade 220 at 4.5 stitches to the inch (or something) and well, that's fuckin' crazy. It looked like swiss cheese at that gauge so I said screw it, held the yarn doubled and got a gauge that would work with the numbers to get the size I needed. Brilliant aren't I?
This will be a gift for my nephew. He wanted a hat similar to the one that Dill wears on "The Rugrats" and well, that one is hideous. So he gets this instead. A bit more spiffy I say.

It sure as hell is swell!! I think I'll show that to my ungrateful 11-yr-old son and see if he wants that one instead of the ganomy.
You need to print out that mosaic onto large paper and wrap it the hat in it!
