Oh, yeah, I was Knitting a Camisole

If you've been particularly attentive this weekend, you noticed that the progress bar on the lacey camisole actually moved. I finished the front last night. Lacey Camisole Front I hadn't touched it in probably 2 weeks, then finally dug it out and got my groove on. The lace pattern on the front is actually a VanDyke Lace pattern. How do I know this? Well, if you have the Perpetual Calendar of knit stitches, it's April something or other. 29th? 27th? You'd think I'd remember since it's been flipped to that page on my shelf ever since that date. I didn't realize it was the self-same pattern stitch until I was halfway through the front. Heh. It was great. I picked this up Friday night, determined to make progress on it. I blame the needles. I was using balenes, the long ass ones. My hands aren't used to that and it was getting heavy. I used my credit at the yarn shop to get the size 7 Addi's I needed, and switched to them Friday. Big difference in the comfort factor. I also finally started on the Binaro Shawl. ugh. I'm carrying it along with some King Tut mercerized cotton, and I must say, it's not nearly as fugly as I was expecting. But it's still a pain in the ass to knit. I forgot to take a pic of it though. Maybe for tomorrow.

tell me though- whats the big deal with addi's why are they so good- the wood ones or the metal ones. what is the big deal- i have never used them and can't understand what all the fuss is about.

It looks great so far, the stitch pattern is simple yet very effective.

I love the color! It will look great on you with your lovely complexion. Love those Addi's but you really have to try the KPs sue

Nice Cami! Addi's are great when you need a break from the straights.

And nice dishcloth too! That is a faux-cable? No actual cabling?

(don't worry, the doggie fur spinning purpose will be revealed, and I don't plan on making it a habit!)

Looking good!! Glad you got a needle that works better. Nothing worse than hurting hands from knitting! :)

It looks nice! Nothing like a bit of a break from a project to get fired up about it again.
