What's Under Your Bed?

The furbag pillowAnother Blogstalking activity from the Knittyboard. In yet another post designed to show the areas of our dwellings where even guests generally don't see, we bring to you, "What's under your bed." To the right you see what's ON my bed. I call this "The Furbag Pillow." Not to be used by those with allergies or a desire to keep the skin firmly on your face. So, without further ado: Looks harmless, no? And it is. The Bedskirt Underbed Chests Just a couple underbed chests with wintery clothes and miscellaneous summer clothes. But if you take a look from the other side of the bed, there's actually something else going on. Cat Toy Hidey Hole and Hair Tie Horror of horrors a cat toy! And what's that on the right? Well, that little black thing is a hair tie (also known as a "cat toy") and that flap hanging down? That's the entrance to the batcatcave. Where cats who don't want to be found or crated to go to the vet lurk. It's also one of Morris' favorite places to sleep. There are several cave entrances along the whole bottom of the boxspring. I've thought about sealing them up, but that's just inviting more to be made in other spots. I wonder how many cat toys are in there? Now, futons count as beds too, right? And I've got one of those in my office. If I should ever have a visitor, they can sleep amongst the yarn (who's the first volunteer? Come on, you know you want to. I'll even let you dump out the yarn in the closet and on the shelves so you can literally sleep amongst it. I know Rain would take me up on that in a heartbeat, wouldn't ya?) Under the Futon Yup, that's yarn under the bed. A spacebag full of Lion Jiffy my mom gave me. 24 skeins of the stuff. It's waiting to become something. Dunno what yet. Space Bag o' YarnBagged Shoebox of StuffLaptop Bag & Box of Homemade Envelopes To the right of the yarn we have a bagged box of mementos, also used to block felted bags. And on the right of that, on the left here, we have my laptop case, and a plastic shoebox full of homemade envelopes. I went through a faze where I made envelopes out of magazine pictures and whatnot. They're kinda cool, but not too sturdy. Someday perhaps, I'll show them to you. So, what's under your beds?

Love the catcave!! When I got my second cat, Mika, she was still a kitten. One night I couldn't find her--near tears and in a panic, guess where I found her? Yup, in the guest bedroom bat cave. Sadly for her, the batcave has been sealed up with a bottom up fitted sheet.
