Yet Another Dishcloth

July Mid-Month KAL Dishcloth This is the July Mid-Month cloth from my yahoo group (it's over in the sidebar - Monthly Dishcloth KAL). I've taken to only knitting the mid-month cloth because I don't generally like the kitchy "image" cloths they do the first of the month. Although, I see this months was a dolphin jumping out of water and it actually looked pretty neat. I might go back and do that. But this one was a fun knit. I like the faux-cables and it was nice practice for the YOs before and after a purl. Zib mentioned in the freezer flash comments that the scrolling links to your left were distracting. Is that so? Do you all feel that way? I read over 100 of your blogs, and wanted to be able to show all of them fairly, so I put my bloglines blogroll in a marquee scroll, otherwise it'd be a list a mile long. If you'd rather not see the marquee scrolling - please do comment. I'll have to take away the button marquee and the stupid crap at the very bottom (the how much is your blog worth I can do without, though the weather pixie is cool). But hey, y'all are the readers. So, tell me what you like and don't like about my blog layout! ETA - Ask and ye shall receive. The marquees are gone. As are the buttons. Oh well. If I read your blog, you're on here. And hey, I wouldn't have the time if y'all updated daily but there's a snowballs chance in hell of all 126 bloggers updating on the same day. Well, until next April 1st that is. And not all of them are knit blogs, though about 95% are.

I think they are kind of annoying just because you have to wait to see the links at the top of the list. Then if you want something at the end of the list again you must wait for the whole thing to scroll again.

I read you on bloglines so I really don't have a problem with the scrolling marquees. I hate it when ppl have a list a mile long of the blogs they read so I think I am trying to say that I like it. Lol

BTW, how the frick do you have time to read 100+ blogs??? Your time management skills must be phenom. :D

Hey -- that dishcloth is the River Rapid sock pattern! LOL It looks nice as a dishcloth too.

The scrolling doesn't bother me.

Sorry last week was so grim. I hope something tall dark and chocolatey comes your way soon.

i'm glad you asked. i'm not a fan of the scrolling, because if i see one i want to click on, i sometimes don't get to it quick enough and have to wait for it to scroll around again.
and dishcloths ... yep, i've been knitting and crocheting them too. it's a great way to swatch a stitch pattern i'm interested in.

I did that washclothe pattern as a scarf and I love the way it came out.

I did the dolphin one about a year ago and it was a lot of fun to see the image grow. You should try it. :)

Hey! I am almost done the dolphin, but haven't started this one. The YO's...ugh, will email bout them!

Looks good though! As for the marquees, I did it for a while too. Will be doing a blog look update myself soon! Buttons may go too. :)

Personally, I'm glad you changed the scrolling. It looked unintentional on my monitor, and therefore was freaking me out. Sometimes my Mac gets funny about how it displays certain things.

Pretty dishcloth! Does it inspire you to do the dishes more often?

Lol, Me Likey! Guess I got here late. I liked the scrolling blog links so much I've been meaning to ask you how to do it for ages. I never really expected to have a list a mile long, but they do get out of hand so easily, as do my bloglines subscriptions.

Oh well, if people no likey, people no likey.

It's ok Rain, I didn't mind them either. But I'm easily amused, I liked to play "can I click on it before it scrolls away?" I was getting pretty good!

Cool dishcloth, those faux cables look pretty darn real.
