Tip-toe Through The...Daffodils?

Yeah, I'm seriously running out of clever titles for Yarn Pr0n Fridays. Fortunately, Bezzie's got me covered for next week (having alerted me to the upcoming Friday the 13th a while back) then I can continue with the number format. Today's feature is Lorna's Laces Shepherd Sock in the colorway "Daffodil". I bought this (just like last week's feature) when Zonda came down for a visit. I laid my eyes on this colorway and knew I had to have it. I tried to be good and not buy anything but I couldn't resist the charms of the Daffodil.

Lorna's Laces Shepherd Sock in Daffodil

Could you? I mean, take a gander at this stuff. Doesn't it just make you smile?

Lorna's Laces Shepherd Sock in Daffodil

Don't you just want to hold it for a while? Maybe go frolic in a field of wildflowers and sing about how you'd like to teach the world to sing in perfect harmony? No? Oh, well, me neither. A-hem. Moving on.

You know, all this lovely Lorna's and Koigu that I have in my collection, and I have yet to knit with any of it. What's wrong with me? What am I waiting for? Lorna's Laces Shepard Sock YarnWell, after I finish the Anastasia Socks, I'll pick up the Purple Club I bought from Little Knits oh so long ago and make the next pair of Christmas Socks. Since they're for a particularly hard woman to please as far as fit goes, I'll be doing your basic 2x2 rib sock. Unless y'all have better suggestions for a guaranteed-to fit sock pattern. Bring it on. On another note, all these mosaics that I post? All from Flickr Toys and I highly recommend to you Flickr users to download the Flickr Uploader to upload more than 6 pics at a time. Believe me, it saves me a lot of time. Remember, if you want to join the ring, first - lemme see some examples of your pr0n somewhere on your blog. No pr0n virgins please. And if you don't have pr0n to post due to technical issues (including "I forgot") then please, post a pic of mine from my Yarn Pr0n Photoset (do not upload to your own host, just use the code as is and be sure to credit me). Best to recycle than to not have anything for the ringsurfers. Now - click the ring! (But feel free to comment first - I like comments, they put me in my happy place.)

Ohh! Very nice there!! I love the happy turtle shot...so happy for YARN! I'm learning the photosets. I'll need one especially soon. Since I already had most of YPF drafted before I saw this, I'll try that next week. Thanks!

Very pretty!

As for the Fleece Artist - I'm not sure what pattern to use, something with a touch of lace maybe?

After you left your comment on my blog, I posted a link to the Sock Wars sock pattern - it's a rib, but looks fancier than it should given how simple it is (K3P3 alternating with K1P1). The pattern is for DK weight, but it should be easy enough to do the conversion.

I have that LL color in their boucle yarn. The shop had it in Lion and Lamb too, and I was so tempted to clean them out of their 3 skeins (imagine the sheen on those colors - oy!) but decided to go the less expensive route. What do you think you'll use it for?

That turtle's enjoying his yarn pron a little too much! ;-)

I honestly have never been a big fan of Lorna's Laces (bought a skein and gave it away) but I LOVE that color!

Oh I love it!

I really wish my LYS had more than 3 colors of Lornas. Meh.

Here's hoping Taos has loads of nice yarn and fiber to love!

And, nice wristwarmers!

Dude, I can't tell you how much I've been coveting that color... so pretty! Looks like you might be having an affair with Lorna's too - can't keep my damn hands off it, that's for sure. Happy YPF, and thanks again a million times for setting up this ring!

Pretty pretty daffodil yarn. I want it! Oh that's right I already have 4 hanks of it since every time I see it in a store, I feel myself inexorably drawn to it and my credit card being whipped out.

You're right--such happy colors all in one skein. Aren't you glad there are so many lovely people who are willing to professionally hand-dye yarn?;)All you need is a Maypole!

The daffodil yarn is gorgeous and definitely worth the purchase. You have to knit it soon, don't hide it in your collection!

I love how the daffodil is lovingly cradled in a towel. Pretty yarn needs to be cuddled.

(I'm not sure what's wrong with Bezzie. How could she not love the Lorna's?)

Hey, I'll swap that pretty LL for some cheapo KP! ;-)

Just kidding, but I did send you e-mail.
