Q is for Quality Time

Quality time with friends. Yesterday, I finally met up with one of my favorite Knittyheads. Zonda. Neener, neener, neener! I met Zonda! Jealous? Heh. You should be. She's too much fun. Stephy drove down, and the 3 of us had a fun time shopping for yarn, eating a late lunch/early dinner (linner? dunch?) and then just hanging out knitting at my place. I helped Zonda learn the magic cast-on for a pair of toe-up socks she wanted to make. Stephy cast-on for yet another pair of socks, and I worked on my bamboo lacey shrug. Of course, Ripple had to be everywhere we were. He's such an attention whore. He and Stephy get along great. ;^) Heh. Zonda even came with gifts! Look what she made me! A knitting bag! With turtles! And two pockets on the inside! I love it! Love it love it LOVE IT! She gave Stephy a sock bag too. Which is funny because I keep telling Stephy not to shove her Sock and yarn naked into her purse because it makes it look worn out before it's even finished. I gave her a ziploc to keep her last pair of socks in but sheesh, how quickly she forgets. ;^) I gave Zonda some Vesper Sock Yarn I'd found that was just perfect for a woman in love with pinks and chocolate brown. We had a great time hanging out yesterday. It's hard to explain to people, that these people on the other end of the computer are really, truly, friends of yours. And then you spend some quality time with them, and all of a sudden it's much easier to explain. And also find a "Q" for the ABC-along. Heh.
