Hooray Tools!

First of all, if you're bloglining this entry - go ahead and click through to the blog. Otherwise, the text won't line up with the pics. Alrighty then. We begin. This weeks blogstalking assignment was to shoot your tools. Since I already showed you what's in Agent Bagsmith a while back, I thought I'd take this from the more dangerous angle. Power tools. Tools - Blogstalking Meet my toolbox and bag. On the far right, my Dremel and Porter Cable Sander. A fabulous regular gave that to me while I was bartending. He'd come in for lunch every day while he was renovating the church down the road. Me, I've always loved making shit. Whether it be through knitting, beading, eating or carpentry - I prefer to make stuff. We bonded. Inside the Pier 1 bag on top of the toolbox, we have a ton of shit. Mainly random bags full of screws, nails, hooks, bendy things and stuff. Also, a Christmas Ornament from 1996, and a Panthers pin from their Superbowl run. At the very bottom is more hooks, a lamp thingie and the foot of a chair that I no longer own. Huh. Also in the bag, completely random turtle thing - it's supposed to hang off a shelf but it's got a broken foot. I painted that at one of those "Paint Your Own Pottery" places. What fun. Also, a cat toy, and a Mary Kay pin that I wish said "I Make Faces" instead of "I Do Faces" 'cus I would so still be wearing that. Heh. Then we have the actual tool box. Hammer, level, stud finder and yet more random doo-dads. In the bottom of the box we have drywall screws (so very important for hanging heavy stuff without a stud) and um, is that a hair clip? Uh, yeah. Because every woman needs to make sure she can get her hair out of her face before hanging a picture. Yup. Over on the right, is my Roto-Zip. This was a gift from another regular (who quickly turned into a stalker after I made him Jello when he was in the hospital for a stroke - but I digress.) I love my Roto-Zip. It's like a dremel on steriods. Fabulous. In other news, icusue sent me the cutest knitting needles with turtles on top! Taken with my camera phone (because I thought I'd left my real camera at work) - you can see how interested Ripple is in the turtles too. He's surrounded by them here at Chez Turtle, so it's no wonder he feels the need to sniff their ass. Cats. Sheesh. Turtle Needles

Dogs sniff too. Heck, my two mutts have been living together for 5 years now and they STILL sniff eachother's butts. Go fig...

Glad you posted the kitty clarification. I had forgotten you had two cats, let alone two clone kitties. :)

I wish I had regular customers that gave me power tools. That would be cool.

Last night I found a book at my moms with patterns for sewing stuffed animals and there's a whole chapter on TURTLES! I thought of you right smack away. Once I get better at this sewing thing, I'm gonna give it a shot :)
