Today's Yarn Pr0n is Brought to You by the Letters "D" and "K"
Best friends are a great thing to have. You can go nearly 2 full months without seeing them, and when you finally do, you fall right back into the groove. Such was the case on Sunday when my best friend, D, came over to play. This is the friend that brought us the photos from C is for Cristi - of which one still stares at you from the upper right hand corner of this blog. She makes me look good. Heh. For a long time, I've been telling her that she needs to do the photography thing professionally. She's always taken fabulous photos. This year, she finally did it, and got herself some professional stuff. Camera, Lighting, Backdrop, the whole 9. I'm so proud of her. As her best friend, I am her guinea pig for figuring out lighting, settings on her camera, and just generally to practice on. She's always said I take pretty good pics of my yarn too. I knew she could do better. So I asked her to take pics for today's entry. She happily obliged. So this is what yarn pr0n looks like when taken by a professional. I did create a photo mosaic but the size that would fit on the blog was too small. So, I bring to you 7 pictures in their unfettered glory.

Wow. That yarn's pretty hot.
*fans self....
whooo! that's some good stuff!
I know exactly what you mean about best friends picking up right where you left off... I'm like that with my out of town friends, too!
Good for D for going pro - the yarn pics are great!
WHOA! DUDE! Professional Yarn Pr0n! YEAH BABY!!!!
...and I almost bought that basket at Joann's last week for my Kitty cat's new nite nite bed, but then I thought that she wouldn't sleep in it anyway. I think she'll just keep curling up on the old suitcase next to my bed.
That's extremely lovely pr0n there....Those colors are great!
Makes me hott ;)
Woop!
Seriously, love the colors. YAH BABY!
That is some lovely yarn pr0n. Beautiful yarn, beautiful pictures. (and this is from someone who used to work in the photography biz herself).
The photos are fabulous, but the first, well, damn, you can almost feel it. Great shot!
Yeah - that's pretty good yarn-porn!! Better than any pictures I take. =)
Great stuff! She's got a terrific eye.
I think my fave is the one of your hands from yesterday.
Pretty impressive! See, why can't catalogue and online yarn store pics look this good???
Can you send your friend over to take some pics of my FO's please? Please? Pleeeeeeeeeeease?
Awesome pictures! That's what I call great yarn pr0n!
That IS HOT STUFF! WHEW! I just had a hot flash looking at your sexy yarn! That second picture with the soft focus and fluffy angora/mohair yarn that it is laying on is making me want that yarn so bad.....
Seriously though, excellent photographic evidence maintined with depth of field accuracy compounded with supreme focus enable the viewer to experience the yarn's mood!
MUY CALINTE!!!!
Wow. I'm betting you increased his sales ten fold with those pics. Such beautiful photos! I wish I could take pics like that.
Whoa! Gorgeous shots of gorgeous yarn. I'm having palpitations. No, it's the vapors. Someone get my smelling salts and pull up the fainting couch!
Seriously, that's fantastic yarn pr0n.
Hummina, hummina! Excuse me while I wipe the drool off my keyboard. Those are sincerely fantastic photos of a sincerely fantastic yarn.
Great pictures! I love that second one, with the glow of that soft mohairy goodness making the smooth merino just gleam...
Hi, I'm a magazine art director and that's just the kind of pretty I like to see. You did great. Love the shallow depth of field and selective focus. Check out something called a Lens Baby. Just google...it's cheap and you'd probably love it. :o)
OOOOOOOH, AAAAAAAH, Need more yarn.... Love yarn pron Fridays with the Turtlegirl! sue
Woooooooooooooooo *drool* That's some hot yarn. New Mexico, indeed. Oh, and how'd I miss C is for Cristi? I love that funny face!!! You DO look hot!
Ok, I'm getting a lens baby. I have been tempted too many times now. Well my turtly friend, you will need to model for me some more after my new lens arrives. ;)
