Say It With Me Now..."Yarn Pr0n Friday!"

So, last week, a coworker and I took a long lunch break together. We needed fiber. Heh. I'd heard that the local yarn shop that was closing down (the one I got this this, this, this, and this at) was at 45% off storewide, with stuff in the back at 55% off and if you got the last of something it was 50% off. Hell yeah! I present to you, Katia Fanny, a 50% Silk, 50% Rayon blend. A bag full, purchased for 55% off. Katia Fanny At a gauge of 19 st x 24 rows on US 5-6s, I see much potential in this. After I finish the SKB and Lacey Shrug though (oooh, that's coming along quickly - the both of 'em!) I also got more Plymouth Royal Bamboo. They'd had these 5 lonely balls there for a while now. As splitty as I know this is to work with, it's so luxuriously soft, I can't pass it up. Plymouth Royal Bamboo I have no idea what it will be, but I know I could get a tank out of it, or a shrug. Given what I'm currently working on is taking. Next week, we'll see some pr0n from one of my favorite knit bloggers with a penis, Adam. He's started himself a little yarn-dying bidness and snatched up a wonderful colorway. Wait'll you see what this man can do with some fiber, chairs, hot water and dye. On a serious note - I know I've ticked a few people off in the knit-blogosphere/knittyboard world lately, and for that, I apologize. Sometimes words don't come out right, and sometimes my blunt approach can be off putting. I will support the rules of the knitty board as pertain to religion, politics and whatnot. I do have my own opinions on these subjects, but I don't post about them here or there. Frankly, I've never trusted myself to carry on a knowledgable conversation about either. It's why I'm not a teacher. If religion or politics is something you can talk about with vigor - go for it. I'm not about to stop you - so long as that discussion is in a venue open to that sort of talk. I have made many friends through this knitting thing, and would like to keep each and every one of them. So if I've ticked you off lately, I offer my humble apologies.

Oh! You and the yarn! I can't wait to see your stash next year! My, how it has grown.

(and nope, haven't ticked me off. I appreciate honesty and frankness, and I know I get that from you.)

Hahahahaha! I almost spewed yogurt all over my screen when I read what you wrote about me! Hilarious! Hmmm, maybe I should start a new blog ring..."Knit Bloggers with a Penis". That could be interesting...

I just love those colors. I can hardly keep up with your FOs, but the SKB is looking very pretty!

I seldom blog about religion or politics, not because I'm not opinionated (oh man, am I opinionated!), but because I'm too lazy to argue. ;-)

hehehe thanks pye. And that's good to hear Sarah. Not everyone appreciates the blunt honesty.

I'm groovin on that blackish bamboo you have there. Nice sheen.

Nope. Haven't ticked me off either.

Wow - great scores! Love that rayon/silk blend that you've gotten your hands on - if you ever decided you don't actually want it, please let me know! Please - really!

I didn't even know that anyone was pissed at you - but I don't have time to do much more than check in at the Spinny forum anyhoo - and stay way out of the fray with just about anything going on (which of course means that I get to miss out on tons of fun stuff too.)

Oh, and the name of the yarn would be considered rude by our Brit/Ozzie friends - Fanny refers to "a woman's front bottom" over in those parts. ;-)

You haven't ticked me off either.

On your blog, I think you are free to do as you please.

On knitty well, sometimes it is difficult to sepatate the world of no politics and religion and what you believe about the world, knitting. It is a fine line.

Keep being you!

*sniffs around*

What'd you say that was offensive?? Huh? I didn't see anything! I like scandal! I like unease and tension! WHAT'D I MISS??

BTW, that yarn is lovely. Seriously. It looks gorgeous in the pics, so I'm guessing it's even better in person.

TG, you're so kind and understanding. I would've just said fuck 'em.

You know we love and adore you no matter what, right? :)

Must not drool on computer...

Thanks for the pr0n. That black bamboo is gorgeous! It's splitty as all getout, but when it's that pretty, who cares? You don't ever have to knit anything out of it, you know. You can just pet it and look at it...

Your yarn photos and photo arrangements make for delightful blog- ogling.

Hope you're feeling like you're in calmer blog & board waters soon.

Thinking of you and others during these recent days of real storms and turbulent waters.

Loving that yarn!! You lucky girl to get things on sale, but unlucky, I guess since the LYS is closing. How sad.

OK, color me clueless as to what you've done to piss people off. You can count me as one who loves you no matter what. I find your honesty and openness refreshing.

Who could be pissed off at someone who gave the world the term "HR fuckinstuff"?
Such genius needs to be loved and nurtured ;)

Man, I always end up missing out on the exciting knitty threads until AFTER they are deleted.

It's a good rule to have on the board, you know it would go south in the blink of an eye if it were otherwise. And no need for southerners to get offended ;)

Gorgeous pr0n there Bella!

Uh Oh! Now, I have to zip over to the Knittyboard and see what all the hype is about. Whatever happened I'm still down for you Turtlie Girl! :)

I'm a relatively new reader (and a new blogger myself!), but you are my favorit knitting blog. No clue what you said to offend anyone, but they're obviously oversensitive.

Keep posting and being you, or I might have withdrawl symptoms! :)
