And they fit, but I don't like the fit of the heel on me. So these are birthday socks for another sister. Thank God I have 2 sisters with feet either just a bit smaller in length or just a bit narrower than me. They'll be happy if I keep screwing up. Heh. I saw that Stariel finished hers, and apparently the heel is supposed to fit the way it does on me, so I guess I really didn't screw it up, I just don't like the feel of it. So I'm thinking in a "plain" sock with little to no patterning, the short row heel will feel better to me. I saw it sitting so close to the base of my heel and it turned me off. What can I say? I'm a visual person. I also react to names. Like "meatloaf". Who in hell wants to eat a loaf of meat? For years I wouldn't touch the stuff. Then one day I tried some at work at one of the restaurants I slaved in, and I liked it! Go figure. But the name alone put me off for the longest time. And that's probably the story with Grits. But I've tried those, and ew. They're as gross as their name. I'll stick with the Cream of Wheat though, I like that.

Sixth Sense Socks
And, they're done. Been done actually, since um, Monday?

Ooooooo they're nice. I really like the colours in the yarn.
Maybe if you wear them for a bit you will get used to them. Still at least you have your sisters to give them to.

umm..so when will the CF be here gggggggg! What color have you decided on?
Jo - it just felt like it didn't fit. The cuff patterning came all the way down to the bendy part of my foot right above the base of my heel and it just didn't feel right.
Rain - I might have enough for some ankle socks, but I'll be going to the yarn shop I bought that at tonight, and if they have more I'll get it. And then make a pair that fits - for me!

Zonda - I think I'll be going with the blue. I haven't figured out why I need 4 different circular needles, but all I have (unless I really want to break out the Boyes but why do that when I have a perfect excuse to buy more addis?) is a US 6 32". So I'll get the other needles this weekend and swatching by Sunday. In the Blue! No Trillian - you can't have it!
Oh, I am trying so hard to stay away from Knitpicks, but this isn't helpng! LOL.
