Best Foot Forward Socks
Oh my Freakin' hell. I started these suckers back on April 28th. Only now have I finished them. I can't believe it took that long. I'm so ashamed. In my defense, they're knit out of KnitPicks Dancing ("Swing" Colorway) on size 1 needles, so yeah, they sucked up the yarn like nobodies business. Once I hunkered down and really put an effort into it, I had the second one done in about 10 days.
Here's detail on the patterning:
I know the yarn competes with the pattern. I kinda lost my mojo on them due to that. But I still liked the way they were knitting up. They fit like a dream!

oohh Nice job on the socks! Very colorful! :)
Nice socks! I like the way the Dancing pooled slightly to make sort-of-stripes. :)
i'm not a big fan of the Dancing colorways, but your socks look very nice. i know what you mean about #1 dpns taking forever though. i got kind of sock'd out myself.
Wow - your socks do look just like mine! I'm glad that I stand half a chance of them looking alike ;)
Jo
I think they look great!
I think they're awesome!
LOVE THE SOCKS!
I really like the yarn, is it Knitpiks? You have lucky feet!
How pretty! And the zinnias make for a great photo shoot! :)
Oh, very pretty. I like the twisty bits. Enjoy them!
Pretty pretty! I really like them!
Question: do the sock blockers help? I know I could make a pair out of coat hangers, but honestly, if it actually is helpful to block socks, I'll probably suck it up and buy some. What's your take?
congrats on finally finishing them- enjoy the feeling
They look fab.
Nice Sockies!
(I'll only be able to part with Murray knowing he's going to a good home with spin! And his brother of course!)
Ah, if you haven't worn the socks yet, you'll soon find out the knitting was worth it I bet! I have some socks made from Dancing, and they feel so good.
The socks turned out awesome! The yarn is bright and fun, while the pattern is really cool! Gold star to ya! :)
Those socks look really nice. I can imagine tho that they WERE a bit hard to knit in a pattern due to the colorway. But they still look good! :D
