Yarn Pr0n Friday X(xx)
Yes! I was able to get some good pr0n shots from the trunk of my car after eating lunch today. Surprisingly good too. So, without further ado, my swag from D.C.
Lorna's Laces Jungle Stripe
This will be Christmas socks for my sister - I had her pick it out. She surprised the hell out of me when she picked this wild colorway.
KPPPM Color P803
For me! Koigu for me! I had such a hard time deciding on just one colorway. I was overjoyed when Trillian gifted me another colorway that I had fawned over as well.
Cherry Tree Hill Supersock in Wild Cherry
Destined to be socks for another sister for Christmas.
Artyarns UltraMerino4
On the left, Color 119. On the right, Color 118
I saw the camoflage color first. There was only one hank. Then I spied the solid green. A thought occured. So I wandered over to Trillian and I said "What would you think if I did opposite matching socks? You know, toe-heel-ribbing on the cuff in one color, body in the other, then the other sock exactly the opposite?" Well, she thought that would be fragging cool as all get out so I went with it.
Online Supersocke in color "Summer"
I have a sockyarn already similar to this, I think, but I'd never seen the OnLine sockyarn before so of course I had to get it. Sheesh, what do you take me for? Someone with restraint?
Classic Elite Yarns "Star"
Destined to be a striped top of some sort. Definitely fitted. It's 99% Cotton and 1% Lycra - very stretchy. I got 4 hanks of orange and 3 of white. And what's that it's in?
A new Lantern Moon Basket I absolutely fell in love with at Stitch D.C. I thought I'd try to save the environment by using a basket to carry home my purchases rather than another plastic bag. Yeah, that's it. The environment.
I also got a 2nd hank of CTH Supersock, but um, there was this shampoo bottle, and it was um, kinda open, and erm, sorta LEAKED ALL OVER THE HANK OF YARN! Thank God it was shampoo. I rinsed it out and hung it up to dry. I simply forgot to throw it in the basket this morning.
So? Whaddaya think? Worth the wait?

As always, great pr0n! And I love a gal who can save the environment by buying Lantern Moon (and you're also supporting a woman's cooperative so you get double points!)
What a great haul from the weekend! The new basket is great. I love the Star yarn - I've made baby hats with it before, it has "just enough" stretch.
really worth the wait! Great pr0n! I like that environment line - I'll have to try that next time.
I like the stuff from Knit Happens - great colors!
And I still say those mis-matched socks will be totally cool. =)
And yes, totally worth the wait.
When you coming back for another visit? Huh? When? Now? You coming now? Maybe you need to move up when Stephy does. =)
Yeah! Always worth the wait! ;)
Love the new basket (yarns of course, that goes without saying!!)
I just got some of the Online sock yarn...very nice and soft!

Oh! I love the reddish Koigu and the orange summer sock yarn! I'm looking for some nice red sock yarn to knit my Dad (aka Red Sock Addict) a pair for Christmas. Have a great weekend!

The yang/yang sock idea is the coolest.
