Can I Move to Harris Teeter?

So, the blogstalking thing didn't really pan out in time for this last weekend, and as we were pondering what to do, I brought up the bathroom at my local grocery store that left me completely taken off guard. I mean look: Harris Teeter Bathroom This is a GROCERY STORE people! Check out the baby changing station: Baby Changing Station at Harris Teeter I couldn't get over it. I mean, I know this is a nice grocery store in a rather pricey part of town, but still. Harris Teeter Bathroom Stall Can I move in? Seriously. Wow. So there. That's something that took me completely off guard lately (though not so off guard as to not pull out my camera.) It was that or fall foliage. I figured I'd take the road less traveled and bring to you potty pr0n. Heh. BBF Sock ProgressAnd how about an update on my latest sock while we're here? This last weekend, the foot saw a lot of progress. This is my first time working with Size 0 needles, so it's been slow going up to now. I love the fabric that's resulting, and I'm pleased with the fit. Though I'm getting a good 10 stitches to the inch, 72 stitches is rather snug, but it fits. So, last night, I light a fire, and prepared for the heel. Now, I've decided I love the reverse heel flap on a toe-up heel. And I felt bad frogging Diamante, but I also knew it took 72 stitches and had a neat heel flap. So I went with it. And lo, we have a heel. Diamante Heel! And yes, that's a teeny weeny stitch marker with Swarovski Crystals hanging from it. I found them while bead shopping with Trillian42 last weekend. They're my birthstone, how could I pass them up? And I have teeny weeny jumprings, so why not use them for my size 0s? They fit perfectly. And it's pretty to look at. I'm also working on a Swallowtail Lace Shawl for Lacevember. But I really need to get a better progress pic than the one I posted over there. Let's just say, it's coming along really well.

Wow. That's gorgeous. A grocery store???? Damn!

But just to clarify, the sock is in front of a fireplace at home? B&N? The fireplace wasn't in the bathroom right?

I don't know what would be weirder, walking into a bathroom like that with a fireplace, or walking into a bathroom like that to see a random woman taking pictures of her socks in front of the fireplace in the bathroom.

Holy crap, sock pr0n by firelight. That's so romantic, I feel a little tingly. You know where.

On my feet.

And that bathroom!!! The bathroom at my Publix is disgusting.

is that the taj-ma-teeter in the ritzy southpoint area of charlotte?!

Yes, well, when the groceries cost twice as much as the Kroger down the street, they can afford to give the customers superloos. Is the Charlotte HT as super overairconditioned as the Atlanta ones? I couldn't shop there, my hands got too cold.

If you do move in, let me know. I'll come down and we can split the rent burden! That's a better looking bathroom than I've seen in the types of places you'd EXPECT a bathroom like that in. Holey cow. That's a neat heel. The reverse heel flap from Diamante threw me off. But I trusted in the pattern and it was like a revelation when it was finished! It seemed to take longer than one going forward though, so I'll probably stick to my short row or afterthought heel.

Your birthstone is a crystal? Did I miss something? hee

Holy Crap. That's a sweet bathroom. I love that you posted photos of the bathroom. I took photos of the bathroom of the Ritz in London for my mom when I went there for high tea. Rock.

The sock looks great. But I'm going to need clarification on the swarovski crystals as your birthstone. I'm pretty sure crystal isn't anyone's birthstone. If it is, though, can I sign up for diamonique? I could get a ton of it on QVC and be dripping in my birthstone! ;)

Stephanie said it -- when ya have a 400% price jump over Food Lion, you can afford the Taj Ma-Loo. Leather armchairs? Puhleeze. Now I know why the marinated artichokes were $4 a jar.

Dig the sock. Which yarn are you using again?

I meant the COLOR of the Swarovski crystal. Peridot. Sheesh. I know my birthstone people. Feh.

And the fireplace is in my condo, not the Harris Teeter, but it wouldn't look out of place!
