Introducing Calvin!

Calvin 6 Yes, another orange tabby. But Calvin has a little something extra mixed in with him. Siamese. He's got a very cool sloped nose and is very slinky with the long pointed tail. He's 7 months old and has spent his entire life at a wonderful pet rescue called Second Chance Kitten. I initially thought I would be bringing home one of the sweet little grey kittens they had there, but when I saw Calvin, and how friendly and playful he was, I knew he and Ripple would be perfect for each other. He bounces around all over the place and Ripple doesn't quite know what to think of him yet. Ripple and Calvin Face Off Quite honestly, I didn't get much sleep last night as Ripple would not SHUT UP with the yowling and the growling and the general pissiness that goes with having a feline intruder in your domain. He'll get over it. They're far too curious about each other. I mean, look at this face. What's not to love? Calvin 2 If you asked Ripple, he'd say "The little shit eats my food and plays with my toys. What do you MEAN what's not to love?" Ripple Unsure Now. Memorize their faces. You never know when they'll be a who's who pop quiz. Calvin 5Ripple and his boogie mat Whoops, I published before I finished his story. Calvin actually came with the name "Calypso". I guess that's the name of Jacques Cousteau's boat. Meh. Too many syllables and too feminine as far as I'm concerned. I immediately started thinking of what else I could call him would too much confusion. Cal? Sosie? Ipso? Keyser Soze? I seriously considered that last one, but then I thought of one of my favorite cartoons and realized it was the perfect name! Ripple does remind me of Hobbes anyway. Heh.

Hi Calvin! You sure are sweet!

(And I've bookmarked your blog (finally) Turtlegirl, so you're not safe from my comment any more;)

Cristi! I am so happy for you! He'll fill an empty place in both yours and Ripple's lives -- such an adorable little one! I cannot wait to see more about his hijinks. With a name like Calvin, you know it'll happen!!!

Ok, I'm going to have to get a cat now just so I can name him Keyser Soze.

But I can't have a cat, which is good since I don't want to be a name-stealer. In any case, Calvin is awesome, and Ripple does look like he's trying to hold back a smile!

He's so SWEET!!! And Ripple may be acting grumpy, but I bet he's happy on the inside.

Snuggle them both for me!

What a cutie. My little kitties a Siamese mix also. We actually got her from an organization in the Raleigh/Durham area. I can't remember the name but it is a group of vet students that spay and neuter stray cats. She was living with the stray cats, but when they let her out she curled up in one of the students lap and they realized she hadn't been a stray for long. She came to us through my aunt who initially took her in until they could find a home.

EEeeeeeeeeeee! The face! Eeeeeeeee!

He's perfect.

When we got Storm, Pippin pitched a royal fit. She walked over, flopped down on him, and said, "you like me. You just don't know it yet."

She was right, of course. Welcome, Calvin!

Ohmygosh congratulations!!!! He's adorable. And I love the name Calvin - it seems perfect for him... although Keyser Soze would have been a hilarious pet name I think he's way too cute to be that evil!

I'm so happy for all of you! What a great name (one of my fave comics too!). Ripple will grow to love Calvin in no time, just so long as everyone else knows he is "Top cat"! heh!

Congrats! "Scritch" the boys for me!

I immediately knew who you were thinking of when I saw what you had named him!!!

Is he loud? I've heard Siamese are talkers.

I love that name--Calypso is such a girly name anyway. Wasn't that the name of a siren that seduced Ulysses? I'm probably wrong with that...but it's something close.

Aw, he's so cute! It almost makes me want another kitty, but I'm trying to keep the number at two.

And your place! It's so pretty, looks like a magazine. :)

What a lil cutie! He looks like he is going to be very mischeivous once he settles in. He and Ripple look similar but not nearly as much as Ripple and Mo Mo. Great choice and wonderful name!

I thought it was a Calvin and Hobbes reference.

I'd love a kitty but DH says no, they do make him wheezy though.

He's a beaut!

I'll be pronning again this friday, I feel as though I am getting myself back on track. Thanks for your patience xxx
