41 Hours.

That's how long Odessa was in my possession before my friend (remember my photographer friend?) snagged it for her lovely daughter. That's fine, I have plans for another one for me anyway. This time, I'm going with that Elizabeth Lavold Cotton I bought way back when I first picked up knitting (again). Remember this sorry thing? No, of course you don't. That was way back when I had no readers. That was supposed to be a dishcloth. Pretty expensive dishcloth. I use it to clean my glasses. It's so soft. I think it would be perfect for an Odessa. I'm hoping it won't bother me along the hairline. I keep forgetting that everytime I wear a hat, I itch. But cotton doesn't seem to bother me. So we'll see. In other news, I've been flying along on the next Booga inspired bag. I'm pondering posting the pattern since I've made so many extensive changes to the original, it's really not the same bag. But anyway, check out the new bag's progress: I used the Random Stripe Generator for the stripe pattern this time. I've very excited for it. Yay! But I really must get back to the Jaywalkers. ETA - and before I forget. Let my wish my Secret Pal good luck on finishing her Olympic Knitting. She's knitting a beautiful Veste Everest from Interweave Knits. So, how was my guess?

That is an expensive dishcloth, but it will make a lovely Odessa. I have been wanting to try this yarn some day so it will be nice to hear your thoughts on it.

Your bag is looking great, the stripes are really fun.

Your bag is looking fantastic. I can't wait to see it felted, the last one was gorgeous.

I'm not surprised your hat got swiped, it's really nice, but at least you get the fun of making another one.

BTW, well done on your quit smoking progress

What!??!!?

Did I slip up and sign my name? I thought I was being so good at keeping myself a secret!

I finished the back last night and completed the ribbing for the front...

No, no, it was the knittyboards. The thread with the guessing game. You're questionnaire was up, and I just knew. It was the Japan hint that gave it away. I'm no fun.

How flattering to have your work swiped! I really enjoy looking at your projects.

I love your bold sense of color. I need to break out and be more like that. However you have inspired me to embrace my ghetto knitter--I went out and bought some Caron Simply Soft for a sweater pattern in IK that uses some chi-chi poo-poo $15/ball yarn! ;-) Hooray for 100% acrylic!

bezzie - you make lamps that look like hawiian skirts and cakes. You can't tell me you don't have a secret bold sense of color lurking inside you as well. Pssh. And the Caron SS is great! I have like 5 different colors of it ready for tubey or something fun.

I love the colours you chose for your "Turtle-ooga" bag. What were the final dimensions of the first one you did?

The final dimensions are: 9 inches tall, 9 1/2 inches wide, and 5 1/2 inches (or so - more like 6) inches deep. Keep in mind I used only one strand of Cascade 220. I have no idea what would happen if 2 were held together, though I'm tempted to find out!

I love, wait, I'm sorry, I **LOVE** your purple grommeted (is that even a word?) bag. Love. It.

And Odessa. I have some yarn here I'm considering doing Odessa with, but the beads stump me. I want them, but I can't figure out how to get them on my yarn. Maybe I need smaller yarn.
