Cristi Does Yarnography!

Wow - I'm one gift-recieving turtle this week. First, we have the R.A.K. from Mikomaio: Laceweight Mohair Isn't it gorgeous? It's Lace weight Mohair. It feels oh so yummy. Two skeins! Two! On top of the cute turtles she gifted me! That was a fabulous giftie. Then I received the R.A.K from Westozcaat - and me, still the idiot, didn't take pics yet of the Love Soap and the orange licorice scented soap. But I will! I promise! Then I received the Koigu! (I got Koigu! I got Koigu! I got Koigu!) from Tvini for my birthday, that we saw yesterday. Ah hell, let's look at it again. Koigu Painter's Palette Premium Merino Then, yesterday, I received my final package from my Knitty SP7! Yarn Pr0n from my SP! That's handspun yarn and some Green Mountain Spinnery "Mountain Mohair" - it's a 70% Wool and 30% Yearling Mohair and oh so, soft. The Handspun is spun by my SP's favorite local spinner - alas, I left the note at home and cannot recall her name. I will amend this post when I get home with that information. ETA:The spinner is Jenny Davis and she is actually from Washington State. It's gorgeous and so soft. It's called "Skittles" and you can see why. I can taste the rainbow in that. Heh. I think it's silk by the feel of it, but the label just has the colorway and the yardage on it. (40 yds) I'll show y'all pics of the rest of my package tomorrow. It's yarn pr0n friday and the yarn is the star of this post - heh. My SP didn't reveal her knittyboard name, but I'm pretty sure I know who it is anyway. Is it you, Knitting Cat? (As you see by this week's post, I have discovered the Flickr Photo Mosaic maker. It's more efficient to show off all the great snaps I take of the pr0nography and hope you like it. If you don't, and would rather the full size, tell me! Or just go to my flickr yarn pr0n photoset or click on the pics for more.)

Skittles! Love that name!

I also like the mosaic just because I was using the dialup. Hopefully new comp will let me surf the yarn pron a little faster.

The mosaics are a fab way to show off your yarn pron. It's all gorgeous but the mohair is divine.
